From Spray Can to Light

 Street Graffiti
The image that I used to represent street graffiti was an image of a street painted with a 3D effect. The artist really used contrasting colors with the surroundings to make the borders of the painting blend in with what surrounds it. The artist did a great job of doing this, as it is extremely difficult to establish where the paint begins and ends. The artist paints the road to make it seem like the road has been destroyed and all that remains is a canal of water, that was once hidden beneath the road.

 Light Graffiti
The image that I used to represent light graffiti was this image of a man being wound in a ribbon of lights. This image appeals to me because of how it displays 3D effects. The colors are mellow, and the idea basic, but I still consider this form of art to be very attractive.

Comparing and Contrasting
The differences between traditional street graffiti and light graffiti are substantial, but both forms of art thrive in their own way. Street graffiti takes a great deal longer than light graffiti, and can come extremely close to providing the look of 3D, while light graffiti takes less time, but actually can create 3D art. Both are very respectable methods of expression and both provide an extremely appealing image.

I really like the pictures you chose! They both have some kind of realistic 3D effect that's really nice to look at. I agree that the artist for the street graffiti did a great job of blending the painting blend with the surroundings. It's amazing how realistic it looks; as if there really is a hole in the ground!
